INVERCLYDE’S covid infection rate has continued to fall, according to latest weekly figures.
The district’s seven-day positivity level was 209 per 100,000 of the population during the week up to 23 January, down from 260.
This compared with the Scottish average level of 173 during the same period.
The district was 10th out of the 32 local authorities. North Lanarkshire was highest on 285.
There were 163 positive cases in Inverclyde over the seven-day period, according to Public Health Scotland.
